Regent Street Project

Project, originally uploaded by Lancaster Today.

Our neighbours, Alan and Alison, are renovating these two houses with painstaking attention to detail. I'd like to show you inside, but first need to check if their invitation to take photos is still open.

  1. Well, if the inside is as nice as the outside you have photographed then they are really nice houses. Your photographs are rich in their colors and I like them a lot.

  4. Abe, they are living inside one while finishing the other (bigger) one. It's going to be a wonderful house, so much thought and effort have they been putting into every aspect of the design. I hope to show some examples of that detail later.

Thanks Lois. It was exactly that which prompted me to take the photos. I woke up, pulled the curtains and the morning light was beautiful. The shadows that you see are cast from our house.

There is something special about their project - and not just the care which which they are doing it. Living opposite, we see people pass by and stare at their building all the time.

So hang on Leif, you'll see it soon!

  5. Those "types" of houses in the UK intrigue me and I love them... perhaps some more info? Year originally built etc? Your photographs capture the morning well and as was said the shadows are fantastic.

  7. Two houses! That is an undertaking!

You know how nosy all us CDP bloggers are, so inside shots are a must! Lol!
