Tks for dropping in on RuT. V. nice to see a good use of B&W. Not nearly enough of it on CDP. There's a distinctive style here which makes it refreshing. Doing it day after day for 365 is manageable. After that it can become less than enjoyable. Have a look at Avignon and Menton as long running examples. Each different, and v. popular for their unique qualities. Enjoy yourself!
Thank you Frank (you can be Frank 1 and I'll be Frank 2!) Lois and Chuckeroon. It's great to know you all appreciate the B&W. I'll be keeping the focus mainly on B&W, using colour only when the subject dictates - such as with the strong, deep red on the pillar box.
I'm glad to hear 365 is manageable. It already feels like quite a challenge!
A bit of a fluke actually Hyde, helped by the supremely confidence of this particular cat. He studiously ignored me as I stuck a camera nearly in his face. Cats are a bit haughty like that sometimes, especially king cats!
Great use of black/white. And your commentary is right on. Nice postings.

What a handsome king of the cats indeed! Nice snap!
ReplyDeleteThank you Leif. I shall pass on your compliments to His Majesty next time I meet him. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat perspective - I've often seen cats on cars but have rarely photographed the scene.
